I bought this cartridge,it worked just as good as any high priced cartridge. Now the color cartridge was a different story. It didn't work at all. But I was very pleased with the black ink cartridge.

I go through a lot of ink cartridges on my HP Deskjet 6122 which uses the HP 51645 black cartridges. I have tested this ink cartridge by Shop4Tech. The ink they use is not quite as good as those manufactured by HP but it is adequate for every day text printing. The photos leave a little to be desired. The biggest problem I have is the 30-day warranty. If you use a lot of ink cartridges like I do, you have to make a sizable order. There is no way I can test all of these ink cartridges before the 30-day warranty. So I wind up eating all of those ink cartridges that I find defective after 30 days.

I have been testing remanufactured inkjet cartridges. So far I have tested two brands, and they have both yielded 850-900 pages. However, the original HP product yielded over 1300 pages, so, although the remanufactured cartridges are still cheaper per page, they have only about 2/3 the capacity, so they must sell at $18.65 to break even. (I have found genuine HPs as low as $27.99) At $10.99 FOR 6, they are still quite a bargain.

This cartridge is no different than the HP I kept buying at Staples yet, instead of paying 29.99, I get a great discount and my printer can't tell the difference!
