Like the previous reviewer, I also ordered these cases in the fall of last year and found them to be a poorer quality than usual. Many of the cases won't stay shut correctly and some won't hold the discs. However, I placed an order at the end of last year and am happy to report that these are much stronger and much better quality. I hope this quality continues.

I have ordered theses before and always found them very good.
On my last order 2 or 3 out of five would not retain the disc.
I am disappointed at the lack of quality.
The center retainer has four tabs and the tips that are suppose to retain the disc are not properly formed. The disc should have never been shipped from the factory.
Where is quality control?

I have used several different styles of cases, and I have to agree with what others have said. These cases are much better than others I've tried. The discs stay in, until you take them out. No tearing of the outside sleeve either.(as others I've had) I've used well over a hundred of these, with no problems.

These DVD cases are terrific. The clear sleeve on the exterior of the case is sturdy and attached well so it's easy to manipulate the cover art without having to worry about pulling the plastic loose.
I agree with another reviewer about the hubs; there are so many different types available and the click style used in these cases hold the DVD securely...and yet it is not impossible to get the DVDs out of the case.
We, too, are converting our DVD collection to the 7mm cases because we ran out of room. While the math would indicate that you could get 2 of these in the space of 1 regular 14mm DVD case, it's our experience that they actually fit a bit tighter. So where you could put 10 regular DVD cases, 22-23 of these will fit nicely (not too tight) into that same amount of room.
If you are thinking about moving artwork into this size case it is probably good to know that you are going to have to do some trimming. One site I looked at said that the regular size cover art will slip right into this size case...and that isn't true. There is no problem with the inserts; they fit just fine without having to be trimmed.
At this price, this is one of the best deals for these cases that I have been able to find on the internet.

Agree with other reviews - these cases far exceeded my expectations.
Like another reviewer, I have many DVDs and these slim cases enable me to place many more DVDs on shelf than the full size would. Best of all, I can still read the DVD title on spine of slim case using standard insert.
I was spending $20 on 50 plastic jewel cases ($0.40 each) from local retail store. I bought 100 of these slim cases at a cost of $0.29 each - what a deal!
Have not yet found another online seller that can beat Shop4Tech on many of the items I have priced (blank DVD media, cases, printer ink, etc.) Keep up the good work Shop4Tech!

These are great slim cases with good hubs that hold the DVD/CD securely and an outer sleeve for artwork. I am converting all my DVDs to this slim case format.

These cases are excellent quality, just like the standard size clear cases. The exterior plastic sleeve and inside clips are great if you make custom covers and inserts. The compact size has allowed me to double the number of DVDs on my existing racks! :-)
